[Fully Engaged] --Fatin Shukri, Romance Reviews Today

The last thing firefighter Callie Kilpatrick wants is a rookie firefighter as her partner. Meeting said partner stuns her, and he's the last person she ever thought to see again. Callie's new partner turns out to be Rick Montana, her ex-fiancé, who left her nine years before in the middle of the night rather than marry her. With no way of getting rid of him, a fuming Callie takes him on as part of her Los Lobos firefighting team.

Walking away from Callie was the hardest thing Rick ever did, but a situation from his past had him rethinking his plans to marry, and he disappeared one night, only to call Callie to tell her they couldn't marry. Finding out years later that what he thought was the truth was in fact lies, Rick searches for Callie to see if her feelings for him have changed. Covering up his motives for being there, Rick gets close to Callie, but she wants nothing to do with him. With secrets abounding between her Los Lobos hotshot team about the mysterious occurrences no one can explain and trying to figure out her feelings for Rick, Callie is determined to do the right thing concerning her past and future. But will her feelings for the investigation and the vow she made to her deceased firefighter fiancé be harmful to her future with Rick?

FULLY ENGAGED is a smoldering inferno waiting to explode. Ms. Gaddy is able to bring the scenes to life with her sizzling descriptions. Callie and Rick have their work cut out for them before they can forgive each other and find true happiness. The story is very fast paced and a delight to read, with a strong-willed heroine and a hero who is bursting to fix the damage to their love. You'll cheer for Callie and Rick as they overcome obstacles set in their paths to be together. Although Ms Gaddy has had previous releases, this was my first book by her, but her ability to make the story memorable has me looking for her backlist. Don't miss this scorching read; you won't be sorry.
